Genesis 8:21 (1-22) “I will never again curse the ground on account of man, “

What have you learned?

Noah and his family and the few animals they saved were on the boat for a little more than a year. During that time the division of the oceans and landmasses we see today occurred. The depths of the oceans and the soaring heights of the mountains were formed. This explains why sea clams have been found at the highest peaks on earth. The seasons we experience today came about in that short period of time. It explains why herds of Mammoths were found in the arctic regions with tropical vegetation in their stomachs still undigested. They were flash frozen. (Hopefully God recorded it all in some 3D form for us to experience later in eternity!)

Since the fall of man and partially through the Great Flood plants and animals have been coming in and out of existence (I understand that estimates are in the hundreds every year.). It is part of the way things are now that the creation is winding down. I don’t understand why evolutionists fight this fact in their efforts to save the planet, save the forests and save the whale. It is all part of the process they know.

When Paul said that even the earth groans (Romans 8:18-22) we can see why. Because of man it has suffered changes it would have never experienced. It waits, as do we His new children, for the return of the One who will make things right again between man and nature. At that time the fear between man and nature will be returned to open communication as originally intended.

But until then we suffer the consequences of our fathers. But as good fathers today lets do what we can to lesson the consequences by not adding to it.

Virtue involves establishing a moral standard I will refuse to break.

Génesis 8:21 (1-22) “Nunca más volveré a maldecir la tierra por causa del hombre,”

¿Qué ha aprendido?

Noé y su familia y los pocos animales que salvaron estuvieron en el arca un poco más de un año. Durante ese tiempo, la división de los océanos y los continentes que vemos hoy ocurrieron. Las profundidades de los océanos y de las alturas de las montañas se formaron. Esto explica por qué mar almejas se han encontrado en los picos más altos de la tierra. Los cambios de estaciones que experimentamos hoy se produjo en tan corto período de tiempo. Esto explica el por qué las manadas de mamuts se encontraron en el ártico regiones con vegetación tropical en sus estómagos aún sin ser digerida. Fueron congelados en un instante. (Espero que Dios grabó en algunos DVD la experiencia para nosotros ver después!)

Desde la caída del hombre y parcialmente a través de la gran inundación las plantas y los animales han desaparecidos y nuevos aparecidos (tengo entendido que las estimaciones son de los cientos cada año). Es parte de la forma en que son las cosas ahora que la creación se está acabando. Yo no entiendo por qué los evolucionistas lucha contra este realidad en sus esfuerzos para salvar el planeta, salvar los bosques y las ballenas. Todo es parte del proceso que saben.

Cuando Pablo dijo que incluso la tierra gime (Romanos 8:18 ) podemos ver por qué. Por causa del hombre ha sufrido cambios que nunca hubiera experimentado. La tierra espera, al igual que nosotros sus nuevos hijos, para la venida del Uno que hará las cosas bien entre el hombre y la naturaleza. En ese momento, el temor entre el hombre y la naturaleza volverá a abrir la comunicación, como se había previsto originalmente.

Pero hasta entonces, sufrimos las consecuencias de nuestros padres. Pero como buenos padres hoy debemos hacer lo que podamos para reducir las consecuencias por no añadirle.

Virtud involucra establecer una norma moral que rehusare romper.

Genesis 7:18 (1-24) “The water prevailed… “

How long can you hold your breath?

For 150 days Noah, his wife, his three sons and their wives and all the animals and birds there were to save sat in the ark. Actually it was a little more than that, 8:4. Remember the boat had three decks so there was plenty to do and room to move, 6:16. I would imagine that Noah and his family probably slept as close to the window as they could. Well, maybe not for the first 40 days.

When Noah was 600 years old it began to rain. Moses tells us that the floodgates were open, 7:11. This included water coming up from under ground reservoirs and water coming down from the sky. Scientists today have found lots of water stored up under ground today, enough to cover most of the flat lands. But apparently there was a canopy of water in the atmosphere, which made the entire planet tropical in nature, 1:6-7. (Again, check out answersingenesis.org)

With all that water pressure during the 150 days in the arc and then the 74 more days they waited for the water to recede the earth could have been reshaped from just one land mass to the continents we have today.

Remember the tsunami in Sri-lanka about 7 years ago? The extreme water pressure created valleys as it entered the land areas and left. I’m telling you this because we are dealing with facts we know of and have observed, not theories that have yet to be proven in any way.

Faith involves investing my self and my resources in things that will matter in eternity.

Génesis 7:18 (1-24) “Y las aguas aumentaron y crecieron mucho sobre la tierra;”

¿Por cuánto tiempo puede aguantar la respiración?

Durante un período de 150 días Noé, su esposa, sus tres hijos y sus esposas, y todos los animales y las aves que fueron salvados descansaron en el arca. En realidad, era un poco más que eso, 8:4. Recuerde que el barco tenía tres pisos por lo cual había mucho que hacer y espacio para moverse, 6:16. Me imagino que Noé y su familia probablemente dormían cerca de la ventana, tal y como pudieron. Bueno, tal vez no en los primeros 40 días.

Cuando Noé fue de 600 años, comenzó a llover. Moisés nos dice que “se rompieron todas las fuentes del gran abismo”, 7:11. Esto incluye el agua que venía de las reservas subterráneas y el agua que bajo del cielo. Los científicos de hoy han encontrado una gran cantidad de agua almacenados bajo tierra, lo suficiente para cubrir la mayor parte de las tierras planas. Pero al parecer, había una capa de agua en la atmósfera, el cual hizo que todo el planeta sería tropical en naturaleza, 1:6-7. (Una vez más, echa un vistazo a answersingenesis.org)

Con toda la presión de esa agua durante los 150 días en el arco y, a continuación, los 74 días más que esperaron para que el agua se vaya disminuyendo, la tierra podría haber sido reconfigurado de una sola masa de tierra en los continentes que hoy tenemos.

¿Recuerde que el tsunami en Sri-Lanka, hace unos 7 años? La extrema presión de agua creó valles en su entrada y salida de las zonas de tierra. Os lo digo porque se trata de datos que conocemos y observados, no teorías que aún no se han probado en modo alguno.

Fe implica invertirme y mis recursos en cosas que serán de importancia en la eternidad.

Genesis 6:14 (14-22) “Make for yourself an ark of gopher wood;”

What side are you on?

If you want to get a lot of detail on the construction of the ark I would suggest you go to answersingenesis.org. What I can tell you is that the ark was big enough to handle what God was asking for or else why would God have asked? Especially if you consider that there was no specification that the animals be adults. Enough scientists have done research on the ark to conclude that there was plenty of room so they could even run around.

I don’t want to spend so much time on the details because we miss the point of the whole exercise. God, in His wisdom, had chosen a few to survive the judgment that was about to come. The only thing man had to do was to be right before God. Amazingly there was only one man righteous enough for God. Remember we noticed earlier that God had continued to talk to anyone that was willing to hear. But that number kept dwindling.

God was not expecting man to be perfect just to follow God’s plan. Noah was found to be blameless, 6:9. That doesn’t mean he was perfect. It means he had done what he could to correct his mistakes according to God’s plan. God is still not expecting us to be sinless. He just wants us to admit we need help, His. Today the Holy Spirit is here to help.

Maybe it’s our pride that won’t let us admit to ourselves that we have been wrong. Or maybe we’re just afraid to admit it in front of our friends. Yet, if that fear leads us to be standing on the outside of the ark, it would be fear placed on the wrong side… wouldn’t it?

Faith involves resting all my hopes for tomorrow on God’s proven promises rather than on man’s faltering word.

Génesis 6:14 (14-22) “Hazte un arca de madera de ciprés;”

¿En qué lado estás?

Si desea obtener muchos detalles sobre la construcción del arca le sugiero que vaya a answersingenesis.org. Lo que sí le puedo decir es que el arca era lo suficientemente grande como para manejar lo que Dios le está pidiendo. Especialmente si se mantiene en cuenta que no se había especificado que los animales eran adultos. Los científicos han hecho suficiente investigación sobre el arca, para concluir que había suficiente espacio para que pudieran correr.

No quiero pasar tanto tiempo en los detalles, ya que perdemos el punto de todo el ejercicio. Dios, en su sabiduría, ha elegido a unos pocos a sobrevivir la sentencia que había de venir. Lo único que había que hacer era estar en lo correcto ante Dios. Sorprendentemente no fue sólo un hombre justo lo suficiente para Dios. Recuerde que hemos observado anteriormente que Dios ha dejado de hablar con alguien que está dispuesta a escuchar. Pero ese número no mengua.

Dios no estaba esperando al hombre ser perfecto solo que seguirá el plan de Dios. Noé era inculpable, 6:9. Eso no significa que era perfecto. Significa que él hiso lo que podía para corregir sus errores de acuerdo al plan de Dios. Dios todavía no espera que seamos sin pecado. Él sólo quiere que admitimos que necesitamos ayuda, de Él. El Espíritu Santo está aquí para ayudarnos.

Tal vez es nuestro orgullo por el hecho de que no nos permita reconocer ante nosotros mismos que nos hemos equivocado. O quizás tenemos miedo a admitir en frente de nuestros amigos. Sin embargo, si el temor nos lleva a estar fuera de la arca, sería un temor puesto en el lado equivocado… ¿no?

Fe involucra descansando todas mis esperanzas para el mañana en las promesas seguras del Señor en vez de las palabras inciertas del hombre.

Genesis 6:3 (1-13) “nevertheless his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.”

How many days do you have left?

This is not a saying that God has given man a life span of 120 years. God had looked down on man now for 1,600 to 1,800 years only to find that man had corrupted himself in every way imaginable. Man had done nothing to fulfill his mandate to manage God’s creation (Genesis 2:24). And, although God had communicated through men like Enoch and others (the sons of God) His will, man had done His best to ignore God and work against God at every turn.

So, God decided to give man just 120 years more before He would destroy them and all the animals they had corrupted. That is how bad things on earth had gotten. In 6:2-3 is described how the “sons of God” (those who had been trying to follow God’s pattern for living) placed themselves into a temptation situation and fell. So, whatever Godly line there was in mankind had all but disappeared. Noah and his family were the only Godly ones left, 6:8-9.

Remember that God originally made man “in His own image”, 1:27. Part of the image of God is that He is holy and holy is how He wants us, Leviticus 19:2. Holy means dedicated to God and His way of life. I guess we should be regularly asking ourselves if what we are thinking or doing demonstrates our dedication to our Lord and Savior or not.

Decisiveness involves maintaining our commitments in spite of the distractions of life.

Génesis 6:3 (1-13) “Serán, pues, sus días ciento veinte años.”

¿Cuántos días te quedan?

Esto no quiere decir que Dios dado al hombre una vida de 120 años. Dios había observado al hombre por mas de 1,600 a 1,800 años, sólo para encontrar que el hombre se había corrompido en todos los sentidos imaginables. El hombre no había hecho nada para cumplir su mandato para manejar la creación de Dios (Génesis 2:24 ). Y aunque Dios había comunicado a través de los hombres como Enoc y otros (los hijos de Dios) Su voluntad, el hombre había hecho ignorado a Dios y trabajado en contra Dios, en cada vuelta.

Por eso, Dios decidió dar al hombre tan sólo 120 años más antes de destruir a ellos y a todos los animales que habían dañado. En 6:2-3 se describe cómo los “hijos de Dios” (aquellos que han estado tratando de seguir el patrón de Dios de la vida) se colocaron en una situación de tentación y se cayó. Por tanto, cualquier línea piadosa que había en la humanidad había desaparecido. Noé y su familia fueron los únicos piadosos que quedaban, 6:8-9.

Recuerde que Dios originalmente hiso el hombre “a imagen suya”, 1:27. Parte de la imagen de Dios, es que Él es santo y santo es como Él nos quiere, Levítico 19:2. Santo significa consagrada a Dios y a su forma de vida. Supongo que debe, regularmente, preguntarnos si lo que estamos pensando o haciendo demuestra nuestra dedicación a nuestro Señor y Salvador o no.

Ser decisivo involucra manteniendo nuestros compromisos a pesar de las distracciones de la vida.

Genesis 5:24 (1-32) “Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.”

Are you listening?

What should catch our eye right away is the constant depressing phrase, “and he died.” I think this was done on purpose. Moses is trying to emphasize the fact that God had pronounced death after sin and death is what happened. Although it didn’t seem to happen right away it was certain to happen. In other words the life span of each man could have been much, much longer had Adam not sinned.

But in this chapter we find a point that Moses is making. Men also saw their lives as an endless cycle leading only to death. By the time of Enoch man would have seen millions even trillions of people come to life and die (remember the line of Cain). Death had become inevitable. But Enoch walked with God, which meant he was following God’s pattern for living. So, God decided not to let him die and took him up, Genesis 5:24. Some say that he is a picture of the rapture of the church. Maybe! He certainly avoided the judgment that was coming.

Now, before he was taken he had a son and named him Methuselah. We know him as the man who lived the longest, 969 years. Back in his day they didn’t know him for that. They knew him for his name, which meant, “when he dies judgment comes.” Can you imagine walking around with a name like that? Who would want him to die? I imagine every time he sneezed there would be someone to take care of him. On the day he died it started to rain.

Noah had been preaching to mankind for a hundred year. His father thought that Noah would be the man to bring rest to all mankind, Genesis 5:29. Little did Lamech know that the kind of rest that was coming was not the kind he was thinking of, it would just be eternal rest. Like the rest of mankind Lamech had missed the message the life of Enoch represented.

Alertness is not just to danger. It involves paying attention to opportunities God presents for real change, right now.

Génesis 5:24 (1-32) “Y Enoc anduvo con Dios, y desapareció porque Dios se lo llevó.”

¿Estás escuchando?

Lo que debe coger su atención inmediatamente es la frase constante “y murió.” Yo creo que este fue hecho a propósito. Moisés está tratando de enfatizar el hecho de que Dios había pronunciado muerte después del pecado y muerte es lo que ha ocurrido. Aunque no parece que ocurra de inmediato era seguro. En otras palabras, la vida de cada hombre podría haber sido mucho, mucho más tiempo si Adán no hubiera pecado.

Pero en este capítulo, encontramos un punto que Moisés está haciendo. Los hombres también vieron sus vidas como un ciclo interminable que conduce sólo a la muerte. En el momento de Enoc hombre se habría visto millones incluso billones de personas nacen y mueren (recordar la línea de Caín). Muerte se ha convertido en inevitable. Pero Enoc caminó con Dios, que significa que él siguió el patrón de vivir dado por Dios. Por eso, Dios decidió no dejarlo morir y se lo llevó, Génesis 5:24. Algunos dicen que es un retrato del rapto de la iglesia. ¡Quizás! Por cierto, evito la sentencia que se acercaba.

Ahora, antes de irse tuvo un hijo y lo nombró Matusalén. Lo conocemos como el hombre mas viejo, 969 años. Pero, en su día se conocían por su nombre, que significa, “cuando él muere juicio viene.” ¿Puede imaginar vivir con un nombre como ese? ¿Quién quería que muriera? Me imagino cada vez que estornudaba, alguien se ocupo de él. En el día de su muerte comenzó a llover.

Noé había estado predicando a la humanidad desde hace cien años. Su padre pensaba que Noé sería el hombre para traer reposo a toda la humanidad, Génesis 5:29. Lamech no sabia que el tipo de descanso que se acercaba no era del tipo que estaba pensando, solo sería eterno descanso. Al igual que el resto de la humanidad Lamech había perdido el mensaje que la vida de Enoc representaba.

Atento no es solo al peligro, sino también involucra prestar atención a las oportunidades que Dios nos presenta para cambio real, ahora mismo.

Genesis 4:26 (16-26) “Then men began to call upon the name of the Lord.”

What name are you calling upon?

In verses 16-24 we’re given a family tree of Cain and in verse 25-26 we are given a contrast between the two. Whereas Cain’s line was somewhat creative, it multiplied Cain’s sin. The highlight of the line was Lamech who stepped outside God’s plan for man concerning marriage (2:24) and then killed a man and boasted that he would be more vengeful than God, 4:15.

I thought it was interesting that Moses shares the fact the within this line of people who had obviously moved away from God’s patter for living, it didn’t mean they weren’t creative (20-22) or unsociable, since everybody knew who they were. God makes us all creative and sociable.

The contrast between the two is that in the line of Adam we find men call on God for direction to better understand His pattern for living. Sin was not God’s intent, He knew it would happen, but it was not His intent. So, it is important for us to understand that there is a way for us to live, in a sinful world that is different than if sin had not happened.

We need to constantly be looking for God because our natural sinful instinct is to go against anything God says, even to our own destruction.

Humility involves not letting your emotions and pride dictate your decisions.

Génesis 4:26 (16-26) “Por ese tiempo comenzaron los hombres a invocar el nombre del Señor.”

¿A qué nombre tu invocas?

En los versículos 16-24 se nos da la genealogía de Caín y, en los versículo 25 y 26 nos dan un contraste entre los dos. Mientras que la genealogía de Caín fue como creativo, se multiplica el pecado de Caín. Lo más destacado de la línea fue Lamec que salió fuera del plan de Dios sobre el matrimonio para el hombre (2:24 ) y, a continuación, mató a un hombre y se jactó de que sería más vengativo que Dios, 4:15.

Pensé que era interesante el hecho de que Moisés comparte el hecho de que aun dentro de esta línea de personas que evidentemente habían desplazado del patrón de Dios para la vida, no significa que no eran creativo (20-22) o insociables, ya que todo el mundo sabía quienes eran. Dios nos hiso creativos y sociables.

El contraste entre las dos es que en la línea de Adán es donde encontramos a los hombres llamando de a Dios buscando dirección para comprender mejor a Su patrón de vida. El pecado no era la intención del Dios, Él sabía que iba a pasar, pero no fue su intención. Por lo tanto, es importante que entendamos que hay un camino para que podamos vivir en un mundo pecaminoso que es diferente al que si el pecado no hubiera sucedido.

Tenemos que estar constantemente buscando a Dios porque nuestro instinto natural pecaminosa es de ir contra todo lo que Dios dice, incluso a nuestra propia destrucción.

Genesis 4:9 (1-8) “Where is your brother Abel?”

What kind of judge are you?

Cain’s answer to that question showed a lot of disrespect for God and His position of authority over him. But this is to be expected after receiving and ignoring good counsel and a warning from God, 4:7.

God has obviously instructed the two men in what was right, yet without Satan’s involvement Cain chose to make matters worse. Then, showing even a greater lack of understanding Cain begs for protection that he doesn’t deserve, 4:13.

But, in verse 15 we get to the heart of the matter. Cain had assumed the right to judge between him self and another. As a judge he was terrible, because there was no justice, mercy or grace. In a fit of anger Cain went too far and made his brother the first martyr of our faith. If his assumption was that now with Abel dead God would only pay attention to him, he had succeeded. Because now God would have to protect him from the kind of vengeance he gave his own brother for the rest of his hundreds of years of life.

Humility involves not letting your emotions and pride dictate your decisions.

Génesis 4:9 (1-8) “¿Dónde está tu hermano Abel?”

¿Qué clase de juez es usted?

La respuesta de Caín a la pregunta demuestra una gran cantidad de falta de respeto a Dios y a su posición de autoridad sobre él. Pero es lo que se espera después de recibir e ignorar el buenos consejos y advertencia de Dios, 4:7.

Evidentemente, Dios había dado instrucciones a los dos hombres en lo que era correcto, pero sin la participación de Satanás Caín eligió a empeorar las cosas. A continuación, mostrando incluso una mayor falta de entendimiento Caín pide protección que no merece, 4:13.

Pero, en el versículo 15 llegamos centro de la cuestión. Caín había asumido el derecho a juzgar entre él mismo y el otro. Como un juez fue terrible, porque no había justicia, misericordia o gracia. En un ataque de ira Caín fue mas allá de lo necesario e hizo su hermano, el primer mártir de la fe. Si su suposición era que ahora con Abel muerto Dios sólo le prestan atención a el, lo había conseguido. Porque ahora Dios tendría que protegerlo de la clase de venganza que dio a su propio hermano para el resto de sus cientos de años de vida.

Genesis 4:7 (1-8) “if you do well will not your countenance be lifted up?”

Why do you go to church?

Al though man had sinned, all the things God had intended man to do (Genesis 1:28-30) were still mans responsibility, which had not changed. What had changed was that now nothing they did would come easy, 3:16-19. Everything they did would seem to work against their success.

In chapter four we find that Adam and Eve have given birth to two sons Cain and Abel. We also find that both, Cain and Abel, were having conversations with God. God was still trying to give man counsel. In time both Cain and Abel offered a sacrifice to God. According to the Mosaic Law both types of sacrifices were acceptable, Leviticus 2:1-16 and 3:1-17. But God only accepted the one.

The impression from passages like Hebrews 11:4 and 1 John 3:12 imply that they had been told that a sacrifice was necessary and what was an acceptable sacrifice and why, 3:7. So when it came time to make an offering Cain’s wasn’t right.

Maybe, as boys will, Cain and Abel were competing to give the better offering, who knows? What we can assume is that in that moment Abel offered a blood sacrifice meaning he had recognized himself as a sinner and in need of redemption. But, Cain didn’t.

These verse made me wonder that if in there day there was a right way to make an offering to God and right time to make a certain offering, then what would be the difference today? Shouldn’t I make sure of why I go to church, why I serve the Lord?

Obedience involves doing what God wants me to do, when He wants it done, in the way He wants it done and because He wants it done.

Génesis 4:7 (1-8) “Si haces bien, ¿no serás aceptado?”

¿Por qué tu vas a la iglesia?

A pesar de que el hombre había pecado, todas las cosas que Dios tenia para el hombre hacer (Génesis 1:28) todavía eran su responsabilidad, que no hacia cambiado. Lo que ha cambiado es que ahora nada seria fácil, 3:16-19. Todo lo que hiciera trabajaría en contra de su éxito.

En el capítulo cuatro, encontramos que Adán y Eva dieron a luz a dos hijos Caín y Abel. También encontramos que ambos, Caín y Abel, tuvieron conversaciones con Dios. Dios todavía está tratando de dar al hombre un consejo. Con el tiempo, tanto Caín como Abel ofrecieron un sacrificio a Dios. De acuerdo a la Ley Mosaica ambos tipos de sacrificios hubieran sido aceptables, Levítico 2:1 y 3:1 -17. Pero Dios sólo acepta el uno.

La impresión de pasajes como Hebreos 11:4 y 1 Juan 3:12 implica que se les dijo que el sacrificio era necesario y lo que era un sacrificio aceptable y por qué, 3:7. Por lo tanto, cuando llegó el momento de hacer la ofrenda, el de Caín no era correcto.

Tal vez, como los niños, Caín y Abel estaban compitiendo para poder dar la mejor oferta, ¿quién sabe? Lo que sí podemos asumir es que en ese momento Abel ofrecer un sacrificio de sangre queriendo decir que había reconocido a sí mismo como un pecador y en necesidad de la redención. Pero, Caín no vio esa necesidad.

Estos versículos me hizo pensar que si en esos días había una forma correcta de hacer una ofrenda a Dios y momento adecuado para hacerla, entonces, ¿cuál sería la diferencia hoy? ¿No debiera asegurar el porque voy a la iglesia, el por qué servir al Señor?

Obediencia involucra haciendo lo que Dios quiere que haga cuando El quiere, en la manera que El lo quiere hecho y porque El lo quiere hecho.

Genesis 3:17 (8-24) “Because you have listened to the voice of your wife,”

Who are you listening to?

Paul helps us understand this passage in his first letter to Timothy (2:15). The serpent deceived Eve; but Adam was not. Adam knew what he was doing, and that it was wrong, yet he let himself follow his wife. This is not to take away responsibility for either’s actions. Eve assumed God was lying and keeping them from something they deserved. Adam put his wife’s counsel above God’s. They were both guilty and responsible for their actions. As a result all of mankind since has suffered for it.

Women experience childbirth in pain, 3:16. Something God never intended. That pain should remind us, not only of the pain that child will be (hopefully not), but of the sin nature they will inherit from us. Since Eve was so intent to lead she would have the desire to rule her husband. I’ve heard the complaint many times from wives that their husbands fail to take action, to lead. Girls, when you feel that urge coming, turn to God and ask Him to teach you patience and creativity as you work to help your husband see what needs to be done.

Because Adam failed to lead everything he intends to do will meet with all out resistance, 3:17-19. Even the ground will give men a hard time. I know it has been true for me that the only time things have come easy for me is when I stand active in the will of God. It reminds me to trust God before anyone or anything else in every thought, word or action I take.

Whereas God intended being a leader an easy thing I will meet resistance from my wife and children as a rule. This fact should help me remember to be patient with them because their actions are indirectly my fault. This weight should humble me and keep from thinking of myself as superior because I am the man. The Bible calls men and women superior who follow wise counsel and inferior who don’t.

Humility involves understanding how easy it is to deceive ourselves into thinking that there are things we do and don’t deserve.

Génesis 3:17 (8-24) “Por cuanto has escuchado la voz de tu mujer”

¿A quien está escuchando?

San Pablo nos ayuda a comprender este pasaje en su primera carta a Timoteo (2:15). La serpiente engañó a Eva; pero a Adán no. Adán sabía lo que estaba haciendo, y que no era bueno, pero se dejo ir por su esposa. Esto no es para quitar responsabilidad a cualquier de sus acciones. Eva pensó que Dios estaba mintiendo para impedir algo que merecía. Adán puso el consejo de su esposa en contra la directiva de Dios. Ambos fueron declarados culpables y responsables de sus acciones. Como resultado, toda la humanidad ha sufrido por el.

Las mujeres experimentan el parto con dolor, 3:16. Algo que no fue la intención de Dios. Pero, ese dolor nos debe recordar, no solo el dolor que los niños serán (esperemos que no), sino de la naturaleza de pecado que heredarán de nosotros. Siendo que Eva estaba tan empeñada en dirigir ella tendría el deseo de dominar su marido. He oído muchas veces la denuncia de las esposas que sus maridos faltan en tomar acción, en dirigir. Mujeres, cuando sienten ese deseo, clame a Dios que te enseñe paciencia y creatividad en su trabajo de ayudar a su marido ver lo que hay que hacer.

Porque Adán falto en dirigir todo lo que se propone hacer será con resistencia total, 3:17-19. Incluso el tierra, le dará al hombres un tiempo difícil. Sé que ha sido cierto para mí que el único tiempo cuando las cosas me van bien es cuando estoy activo en la voluntad de Dios. Me hace recordar tener confianza en Dios antes de que nadie ni nada, en cada pensamiento, palabra o acción que tomo.

Mientras que Dios intento el ser un líder una cosa fácil, encontrará resistencia de mi esposa y los niños como una regla. Este hecho debe recordarme a tener paciencia con ellos porque sus acciones son indirectamente mi culpa. Este peso debe mantenerme humilde y de pensar que soy superior porque yo soy el hombre. La Biblia llama superior a los hombres y las mujeres que siguen Su consejo e inferior los que la rechazan.

Humildad involucra entendiendo cuan fácil es engañarme en pensar que hay lo que merezco y lo que no merezco.

Genesis 3:1 (1-7) “Indeed, has God said… ?”

Who are we listening to?

We don’t have any idea how long it was after the creation that Satan decided it was the right time to tempt mankind. It could have been a couple of days or it could have been a hundred years. What I find interesting is that, in a way, nothing has changed. Why is it that we are so quick to believe a lie, told to us by someone we don’t know, about some one we know we do know and have no reason to mistrust?

I believe Satan went to the woman because she didn’t know the animals like Adam did. Remember he named them all and I assume that although man, at that time, didn’t need to fear animals he was able to communicate with them on some level, like we still do today with our pets.

So, I think Adam would have known that animals were not capable of speech, making this situation questionable. But instead of going to the one whose word was being questioned she went ahead a doubted God’s Word over the word of a created being like her who wasn’t much older than she.

What we should understand is that God had to give man the opportunity to make his own decision to follow God or go his own way, what ever the cost might be. Yet, as much as God would have been within His right to destroy the creation and start over, He decided to give man a second chance. So, the question is… to whom are we listening to now?

Fairness involves sorting through all the facts before making a final decision.

Génesis 3:1 (1-7) “¿Conque Dios os ha dicho:… ?”

¿A quien estamos escuchando?

No tenemos ninguna idea cuánto tiempo después de la creación que Satanás decidió que era el momento oportuno para tentar la humanidad. Podría haber sido un par de días, o cien años. Lo que me parece interesante es que, en cierto modo, nada ha cambiado. ¿Por qué es que somos tan rápidos en creer una mentira, de alguien que no conocemos, acerca de uno que conocemos y no tenemos ningún motivo para desconfiar?

Yo creo que Satanás se dirigió a la mujer porque ella no sabía los animales como Adán. Recuerda que el le dio nombre a todos y supongo que a pesar de que el hombre, en ese momento, no tener miedo a los animales fue capaz de comunicarse con ellos en algún nivel, como seguimos hoy con nuestras animales domesticados.

Por lo tanto, creo que Adán hubiera sabido que los animales no fueron capaces de voz, que hace esta situación cuestionable. Pero en ves de ir a la persona cuya palabra estaba en duda decidió dudar la Palabra de Dios y así aceptando la palabra de un ser creado como ella que no era mucho mayor viejo que ella.

Lo que debemos entender es que Dios tuvo que dar al hombre la oportunidad de hacer su propia decisión de seguir a Dios o seguir su propio camino, no importando lo que cuesta. Sin embargo, del mismo modo que Dios hubiera sido dentro de su derecho a destruir la creación y empezar de nuevo, decidió dar al hombre una segunda oportunidad. Por lo tanto, la pregunta es… a quien escucharemos ahora?

Equidad involucra la clasificación de todos los hechos antes de tomar una decisión final.
