1 Peter 2:18 (18-25) “Servants,”
Whom do you serve?
When I read the word “servants” it reminded me of what Jesus said in one of His mountain sermons, Luke 17:7-10. The attitude of the servant is the point that Peter is making. It was the same point he was making in the previous passage we looked at, that we are not here to establish the kingdom of God and be served. We are here to be an example of what God can do with those who submit to His will.
If we are wronged for doing the right things, in the right way and at the right time and suffer for it our reward will be from God, but our example will be for others, 2:20-21.
But if we suffer for failing to fulfill our responsibilities at work, we suffer for our own sake. Jesus explained that the attitude of the servant was simply to do as little as possible and everyone should be happy they got that. But that is not what our attitude as believers should be. When we just do what we were told we should feel like failures. Our approach to our responsibilities is to go beyond what was expected because we serve Him not others.
Gratefulness involves using the opportunities present to show your appreciation for what God is doing with you.

1 Pedro 2:18 (18-25) “Siervos,”
¿A quién sirves?
