Numbers 11:1 (1-35) “Now the people became like those that complain of adversity in the hearing of the Lord;”

Who are your friends?

Remember that not all who left Egypt were Jewish. Those who had committed to Jews or had married Jews were a separated group of people, apparently located on the outskirts of the camp. They were constant complainers.

On this occasion Israel had left their encampment of a year going out three days to a new campsite. This was something they hadn’t done in a while and the complainers started to voice their opinion louder than ever before. Maybe they thought that by complaining Moses would turn around and go back to where it was nice rather than into the desert. And the complaining was spreading to all the people, 11:4.

How quick we all are to forget the provision of the Lord. How quick we are to forget who we are and our mission here. On their journey to Mt. Sinai the Lord had provided meat and manna for them to eat and be satisfied; had not God continue to provide, had they actually become board with it?

In this story there is an example of why we need to be careful of the commitments we make with each other. I don’t mean that we should not have unbelieving friends. We should have lots of those (at school, at work, in the neighborhood). But when we decide to go into a business partnership or a marriage they should never be to an unbeliever. Unbelievers have made their decision to be apposed to God. We will not mix well and will only cause our families and ourselves more trouble than it was ever worth. These relationships won’t make them like us. It is more likely we will become like them.

Wisdom involves recognizing and rejecting my natural inclination to explain away what I know to be true.

Números 11:1 (1-35) “Y el pueblo comenzó a quejarse en la adversidad a oídos del Señor;”

¿Quiénes son sus amigos?

Recuerde que no todos los que salieron de Egipto eran judíos. Aquellos que se habían comprometido a los judíos, o casado con judíos fueron un grupo separados, aparentemente situado en las afueras del campamento. Eran constantes quejumbrosos.

En esta ocasión Israel había dejado su campamento de un año para salir tres días a un nuevo campamento. Esto era algo que no habían hecho hace tiempo y los quejumbrosos comenzaron a expresar su opinión más fuerte que nunca. Tal vez pensaron que con sus quejas Moisés daría la vuelta y volver al lugar donde habían estado lo mas bien en ves de en el desierto. Y la queja se extendió a todo el pueblo, 11:4.

Que rápido que somos todos a olvidar la provisión del Señor. Que rápido que vamos a olvidar quienes somos y nuestra misión aquí. En el camino al Monte Sinaí el Señor había dado carne y el maná para que comieran y quedar satisfecho; no había Dios continuado Su provisión, en realidad estaban aburridos de ella?

En esta historia hay un ejemplo de por qué tenemos que tener cuidado con los compromisos que hacemos con los demás. No quiero decir que no debemos tener amigos no creyentes. Deberíamos tener un montón de ellos (en la escuela, en el trabajo, en el vecindario). Pero cuando decidimos entrar en una asociación de negocios o un matrimonio, nunca debe ser con un incrédulo. Los incrédulos han tomado la decisión de ser opuesto a Dios. No vamos a mezclar bien y sólo causaremos a nuestras familias y nosotros mismos más problemas que habíamos pensado. Es tipo de relación no causar que llegan ser como nosotros. Es más probable que lleguemos ser como ellos.

Sabiduría involucra reconocer y rechazar mis inclinaciones naturales de ignorar lo que es verdad.

Numbers 10:31 (11-36) “Please do not leave us,”

Are you ready to go?

So the people of Israel finally leave the Sinai area on their way to the Promised Land. They leave in their set marching order, which from a distance would have been very impressive. I can imagine that the word was now being leaked out among the other nations. This would make them all pause and wonder what was about to happen. They had all heard the stories about Israel’s successes and how they ate that magic food called manna.

For Israel it was probably “about time” for some and “what’s wrong with this place” for others. There were so many things to look forward to and yet so many things to leave behind. Moses, wanting to make sure things would go well, thought a little insurance for the road would be to have a guide. Hobab (10:29) knew the area and could be of help finding streams of water and such along the journey. I don’t think this meant Moses had no faith, but that someone who knew the area could make things easier.

In our present journey through this life, there is no reason not to have good friends with us, whether they are believers or not doesn’t hurt any at all. Who knows if maybe one day your life’s message may be enough to change their minds and bring them to your Lord.

Faith has to be seen before it can be heard.

Números 10:31 (11-36) “Te ruego que no nos dejes,”

¿Estás dispuesto a ir?

Por fin el pueblo de Israel finalmente dejan el área de Sinaí en su camino hacia la Tierra Prometida. Salen en su orden de marchar, que de una distancia habría sido muy impresionante. Me imagino que las noticias se filtró entre las demás naciones. Esto les haría hacer se preguntar lo que estaba pasando. Todos ellos habían oído historias sobre éxitos de Israel y cómo comían el pan misterioso llamado maná.

Para ajunos en Israel probablemente “ya era tiempo” y para otros “no entendieron cual era el problema de donde estaban”. Había tantas cosas para ver hacia adelante y a la misma vez tantas cosas que dejan atrás. Moisés, al querer asegurarse de que las cosas irían bien, pensó que un poco de seguro para la carretera sería el tener una guía. Hobab (10:29) conocía la área y podría ser de ayuda para encontrar corrientes de agua, y cosas así a lo largo del viaje. No creo que esto significaba que Moisés no tenía fe, solo que alguien que conoce la zona podría hacer las cosas más fáciles.

En nuestro presente viaje por esta vida, no hay razón para no tener buenos amigos con nosotros, ya sean creyentes o no, no haría daño alguno. ¿Quién sabe si tal vez un día el mensaje de su vida puede ser suficiente para cambiar sus mentes y llevarlos al Señor.

La Fe tiene que ser vista antes que puede ser oída.

Numbers 9:16 (9:15-10:10) “So it was continuously; the cloud would cover it by day, and the appearance of fire by night.”

Do you see the presence of God in your church?

I can only imagine what “the appearance of fire” meant, not being actual fire. In any case, wouldn’t it be great to have the clear direction of God day and night? All Israel had to do was look and they could see when God was moving and when God was still. There was no question about whether this was or wasn’t God, He was right there!

Not only did they have this visual confirmation of the presence of God; they now had the trumpet sound. With the trumpet they got more clear direction of what type of action or inaction the Lord expected. The trumpet sounded for feasts, war, defense, direction and worship, 10:1-10. Yet, with all that Israel would ignore the direction of God and do as they pleased on more than one occasion.

We don’t have the cloud of the Lord visible to us today and we don’t have the sound of the trumpets either. We have something better. We have that cloud residing inside of us. The struggle for control of our lives is the same as back then when God tried to provide, guide and protect His people Israel. For us today, we could say that the assurance of God’s presence is the testimonies we hear form each other of how God is working in our lives and the trumpet sound is when we hear the clear warnings and direction from our pastors in church (this is why we need to be in church).

But unlike with Israel, that presence of the Lord is not leaving us no matter how much we grieve Him, Ephesians 4:25-32.

Security involves learning to deposit all my trust in the One who will be there for me right now as well as tomorrow.

Números 9:16 (9:15-10:10) “Así sucedía continuamente; la nube lo cubría de día, y la apariencia de fuego de noche.”

¿Puede ver la presencia de Dios en su iglesia?

Sólo puedo imaginar lo que “la apariencia de fuego” significaba no siendo fuego real. En cualquier caso, ¿no sería fantástico tener la dirección clara de Dios de día y de noche? Todo lo que el pueblo de Israel tenía que hacer era mirar hacia el templo y ver cuando Dios estaba en movimiento y cuando se detenía. No habría cuestión si esto fue o no fue Dios, ¡estaba en frente de ellos!

No sólo tienen esta confirmación visual de la presencia de Dios; ahora tienen el sonido de la trompeta. Con la trompeta recibían dirección más claro hacia qué tipo de acción o inacción el Señor esperaba. La trompeta sonó para fiestas, la guerra, la defensa, la dirección y el culto, 10:1-10. Sin embargo, con todo eso Israel iba ignorar la dirección de Dios y hacer lo que quieran en más de una ocasión.

No tenemos la nube de Jehová visible para nosotros hoy, ni tenemos el sonido de las trompetas. Tenemos algo mejor. Tenemos esa nube dentro de nosotros. La lucha por el control de nuestras vidas, es la misma que en aquel entonces cuando Dios trató de proveer, guiar y proteger su pueblo Israel. Para nosotros, hoy, se podría decir que el testimonio de la presencia de Dios lo vemos en los testimonios que escuchamos de nuestros hermanos en la fe respecto a cómo Dios está trabajando en nuestras vidas y el sonido de la trompeta es cuando escuchamos las advertencias claras y la dirección de nuestros pastores en la iglesia (esta es la razón por la que debemos regularmente estar en la iglesia).

Pero a diferencia de Israel, la presencia del Señor no nos abandona no importa lo mucho que le entristecemos, Efesios 4:25 -32.

Seguridad, involucra aprendiendo a depositar toda mi confianza en el Único quien estará allí para mi ahora mismo al igual que mañana.

Numbers 8:25 (1-26) “But at the age of fifty years they shall retire…”

What time is it for you?

This chapter describes how the Levites were to be prepared and dedicated for their service. They were then to work (as priests and caretakers of the tabernacle) from the age of twenty-five until the age of fifty. Numbers 4:3, suggests there was a five-year training program. Just twenty-five years of service. After which, I’m sure, they spent the rest of their lives helping their brothers and teaching the people the Law, 8:26.

Remember that Israel later left Mt. Sinai and went directly to their Promised Land where they were too afraid to go in and the Lord banned them from entering for forty years. This first group would then have served until the twenty-fifth year and a new group would have gone on duty. Fifteen years later they would have been the ones to enter into the land under the leadership of Joshua.

I don’t know how much time He has for each of us to perform whatever service He has left us here to do, including our training. Could be twenty-five or could be fifty years. Unlike Israel’s wasted forty years in the wilderness, we should get about the business of preparing to serve our Lord when He is ready for us. Don’t let the distractions of life keep you from your opportunity to serve.

Responsibility involves learning to establish personal disciplines to help you become the person God wants you to be.

Números 8:25 (1-26) “Pero a los cincuenta años se jubilarán…”

¿Qué hora es para ti?

Este capítulo describe cómo los Levitas deberían estar preparados y dedicados a su servicio. Luego fueron a trabajar (como los sacerdotes y los custodios de la tabernáculo) desde la edad de veinte y cinco hasta la edad de cincuenta. Números 4:3 sugiere que existía era un programa de capacitación de cinco años. A tan solo veinte y cinco años de servicio. Después de lo cual, estoy seguro, que pasaron el resto de su vida ayudando a sus hermanos y enseñar al pueblo la ley, 8:26.

Recuerdan que después Israel salieron del Monte Sinaí y fueron directamente a la Tierra Prometida donde tenían demasiado miedo de entrar y el Señor prohibió su entrado por cuarenta años. Este primer grupo hubieran servido sus veinticinco años y un nuevo grupo hubieran empezado. Quince años más tarde, hubieran sido los que entrarían esa tierra, bajo la dirección de Josué.

No sé cuánto tiempo Él tiene para cada uno de nosotros para realizar cualquier servicio que nos ha dejado aquí, incluso el entrenamiento. Podría ser de veinticinco o cincuenta años. En contraste a los cuarenta años pierde en el desierto por Israel, nos debemos enterar el negocio de la preparación para servir a nuestro Señor cuando Él esté listo para nosotros. No dejes que las distracciones de la vida te detenga de la oportunidad de servir.

Responsabilidad involucra aprender a establecer disciplinas personales para ayudarnos alcanzar a ser la persona que Dios quiere que seamos.

Numbers 7:89 (1-89) “Now when Moses went into the tent of meeting to speak to Him, he heard the voice speaking to him…”

Are you fulfilling your task?

In this chapter we see detailed the gifts of all twelve leaders of the tribes for the dedication of the Tabernacle. This record could be used to prove how generous each one was, but actually John 14:21 is previewed here in verse 7:89. Jesus promises His disciples (just before He was to be taken away) that if they would pay attention to detail he would understand that they loved Him as much as He loved them and would always be there for them through whatever they were experiencing. I know I’m not quoting the verse exactly. But, you get the idea, keeping God’s commandments is not supposed to be a chore.

Obeying God exactly is supposed to be our response to all that He has done already. Our gratitude should lead us to conclude that there is only one who deserves our commitment. Demonstrating that gratitude (for giving us life and including us in His family) by obeying His rules. So, His instructions for living shouldn’t be a burden.

Too many times we come to God when we have placed ourselves in trouble because we have failed to obey His direction. And, then demand that God get us out of that trouble. Why should He? God is merciful, but why should we live that way (hoping for mercy) when we can live in the constant love of God in the first place?

Thoroughness involves understanding what details are important to insure the success of any project.

Números 7:89 (1-89) “Y al entrar Moisés en la tienda de reunión para hablar con el Señor, oyó la voz que le hablaba…”

¿Está cumpliendo su tarea?

En este capítulo podemos ver detalles de los dones de los doce líderes de las tribus para la dedicación del Tabernáculo. Este registro puede ser utilizado para demostrar cómo cada una de ellas era generoso, pero en realidad Juan 14:21 es previsto en el versículo 7:89. Jesús promete a sus discípulos (antes de ser quitado) que si se presten atención a los detalles, Él entenderá que ellos lo aman tanto como Él los amó y que siempre estará ahí para ellos a través de lo que estaban experimentando. Sé que no estoy citando el versículo exactamente. Sin embargo, entiendes la idea, el obedecer los mandamientos de Dios no es un trabajo.

Obedeciendo a Dios exactamente se supone que debe ser nuestra respuesta a todo lo que Él ha hecho. Nuestra gratitud nos debe llevar a la conclusión de que sólo hay uno que merece nuestro compromiso. Demostrando ese agradecimiento (por darnos la vida y entre ellos nosotros, para su familia) por medio de obedecer sus reglas. Por lo tanto, sus instrucciones para la vida no debería ser una carga.

Demasiadas veces venimos a Dios cuando nos hemos puesto en problemas porque hemos fallado en obedecer su dirección. Y, a continuación, exigir que Dios nos saque de ese problema. ¿Porqué lo tiene que hacer? Dios es misericordioso, pero ¿por qué tengo que vivir de esa manera (esperando misericordia) cuando podemos vivir en el amor constante de Dios en primer lugar?

La atención a los detalles implica el entender que detalles son importantes para asegurar el éxito de cualquier proyecto.

Numbers 6:5 (1-27) “All the days of his vow of separation no razor shall pass over his head.”

Do you know your task?

At some point in the lives of Samson, Samuel, John the Baptist and Paul a Nazirite vow was taken be each of them. Each would have been well noticed because they would all have long hair and probably a long beard. They would also have been very particular about the company they kept and the food they eat. I would guess these vows were intended to be serious and short.

Samson is the character we most remember because of the magic hair. But we forget that he was born a Nazitire and knew no other way of life. I wonder if he understood that God had chosen him for a very special job. I wonder because it seems that thinking he wasn’t being watched he did whatever he wanted. I also wonder if his parents, thinking there was something special about him failed to discipline him and teach him self-control. I wonder because his life seemed to be marked by one impulsive act after another.

As believers we have also been called out or chosen for a special job. While we concentrate on our spiritual development people will notice a difference in our behavior (we are not Nazirites). But one of the qualities of character that marks a believer is the ability to keep his impulses from running or ruining his life. As believing parents we shouldn’t assume our children understand the difference between wrong or right behavior. They need our help until on their own they can lean on the Spirit.

Self-control involves consulting the Holy Spirit before I speak or act.

Números 6:5 (1-27) “Durante todos los días del voto de su nazareato no pasará navaja sobre su cabeza.”

¿Conoces su tarea?

En algún punto en la vida de Sansón, Samuel, Juan el Bautista y Pablo un voto Nazareo fue hecho por cada uno. Cada uno hubiera sido fácil de reconocer porque hubieran tenido pelo largo, y una barba larga. También habrían sido muy particular acerca de la compañía que mantienen y los alimentos que consumen. Me imagino que este tipo de voto fue intentado ser serio y corto.

Sansón será el uno que recordaremos por su pelo mágico. Pero nos olvidamos que nació como Nazareo y no conocía otro tipo de vida. Me pregunto si entendió que Dios lo había escogido para un trabajo especial. Me pregunto porque, parece que como si no creía que Dios lo estaba mirando, hacia lo que quería. También me pregunto si sus padres pensando que fue especial no le disciplinaron ni enseñaron dominio-propio. Me pregunto porque su vida parecía estar marcado por un acto impulsivo tras otro.

Como creyentes, también nosotros hemos, sido llamados o escogidos para un trabajo especial. Al enfocarnos en nuestro desarrollo espiritual la gente notaran la diferencia en nuestro comportamiento (no somos nazareos). Pero una de las cualidades de carácter que marca el creyente es su habilidad de no dejar que sus impulsos controlen o destruye su vida. Como padres creyentes no debemos asumir que nuestro hijos entenderán la diferencia entre comportamiento correcto o erróneo. Necesitan nuestro ayuda hasta que sean capases de depender del Espíritu Santo.

El control propio involucra consultando al Espíritu Santo antes de hablar o actuar.

Numbers 5:4 (1-31) “The sons of Israel did so and sent them outside the camp;”

Are you keeping your commitment to God?

God commands Moses to have the people separate those who had certain problems. These people had not necessarily committed a sin, but their condition made them impure in the sight of God. God wanted the people to understand that there was a way He wanted them to be. So these restrictions were added to emphasize the need for purity. Remember, this was necessary because of where the people had been and where they were going.

Being married under past conditions many of them had doubts and questions about the faithfulness of each other in marriage. So, the Lord established a test (during their time in the wilderness) to prove whether a wife had been faithful, in the past or not. This test emphasizes the importance of faithfulness to any commitment you make.

Today, we don’t live in that wilderness and we’re not on any trek to a promised land. We probably live in the land Israel lived in under bondage, Egypt. There are many terrible influences on our lives (like there were for Israel) that make it difficult for us to see what is right and wrong. For this reason we need to separate our selves, as best we can, from this world.

This I think is one very important reason why believers need to commit to a fellowship of believers, whether it’s a just regular Bible study group or an actual church. There you will be able to see how the world is leading you astray and can learn how to avoid or counter those attractions, as you work towards becoming the person God wants you to be.

Courage involves taking a stand for what is right even if it will cost you.

Números 5:4 (1-31) “Y así lo hicieron los hijos de Israel, y los echaron fuera del campamento;”

¿Estas manteniendo su compromiso con Dios?

Dios ordena a Moisés que el pueblo separe los que tenía ciertos problemas. Estas personas no necesariamente habían cometido un pecado, pero su condición les hizo impuro a los ojos de Dios. Dios quería que ellos entendieran que había una manera que Él quería que fueran. Por lo tanto, esas restricciones se agregaron para enfatizar la necesidad de la pureza. Recuerde, este era necesario debido a donde había estado el pueblo y hacia dónde se dirigían.

Estando casados bajo esas condiciones del pasado muchos de ellos tenían dudas y preguntas acerca de la fidelidad de uno al otro en el matrimonio. Por lo tanto, el Señor estableció una prueba (durante su travesía por el desierto) para probar si la mujer había sido fiel en el pasado o no. Esta prueba enfatiza la importancia de la fidelidad hacia sus compromisos.

Hoy en día, no vivimos en ese desierto, y no estamos en viaje a la tierra prometida. Es probable que vivimos en la tierra antigua que Israel vivió bajo la esclavitud de Egipto. Hay numerosos y terribles influencias en nuestras vidas (como las que sufrió Israel) que hacen que sea difícil para nosotros ver lo que es correcto e incorrecto. Éste es el motivo por el cual necesitamos separarnos de la mejor manera posible, de este mundo.

Creo que esta es una razón muy importante por el cual los creyentes deben comprometerse a una asociación de creyentes, se sólo un grupo de estudio de la Biblia regular o una establecida iglesia. Allí podrás ver cómo el mundo le esta engañando y aprender como evitar o contrarrestar esas atracciones, en medio del proceso de llegar ser la persona que Dios quiere que sea.

Valentía involucra tomando una posición por lo que es correcto cuando te cuesta.

Numbers 4:49 (1-49) “they were numbered, everyone by his service or carrying;”

Do you know what your job is at church?

It seems like the purpose of numbering the tribes (taking a census) was so that everyone would have a sense of purpose in relation to each other. I mean every man knew that he was responsible for the protection of his people, not just his tribe or immediate family. And, in the case of the Levite, they now knew that they would be protected while they busied themselves in the care of the Tabernacle.

So, there were Levites assigned to serve in the tabernacle and Levites assigned to take down and set up the tabernacle. If one wouldn’t do his assigned task someone else had to, making the job harder for all.

There was a person for every job and a job for every person. In the same way, in the church today, each of us has a place, a job, a function for which we have been called to perform, Romans 12:1-8. So in a sense each of us in the church has been numbered. That means that if you aren’t doing your job someone else has to.

Diligence involves focusing on the job the Holy Spirit has given us and getting it done.

Números 4:49 (1-49) “Fueron contados conforme al mandamiento del Señor dado por medio de Moisés, cada uno según su ministerio o según su cargo;”

¿Sabes lo que es su trabajo en la iglesia?

Parece que el objetivo de numeración de las tribus (llevar a cabo un censo) fue para que todos tengan un sentido de propósito en relación con cada uno de los otros. Quiero decir que cada hombre sabía que era responsable de la protección de su pueblo, y no sólo a su tribu o familia inmediata. Y, en el caso de los Levitas, ellos ahora sabían que serían protegidos mientras se ocupaban en el cuidado del Tabernáculo.

Por lo tanto, habían Levitas estaban asignados a servir en el tabernáculo y otros Levitas asignado para desmontar y volver a montar el tabernáculo. Si uno no hacia su tarea asignada otro lo tendría que hacer, haciendo el trabajo más difícil para todos.

Había una persona para cada trabajo y un trabajo para cada persona. De la misma manera, en la iglesia de hoy, cada uno de nosotros tiene su lugar, un trabajo, una función para la cual hemos sido llamados a realizar, Romanos 12:1-8. Por lo tanto, en cierto sentido cada uno de nosotros en la iglesia ha sido numerados. Esto significa que si usted no está haciendo su trabajo otro lo tiene que hacer.

Diligencia involucra enfocándome en el trabajo que el Espíritu Santo me ha dado y cumpliendo con el.

Numbers 3:13 (1-51) “For all the firstborn are Mine;”

How ready or prepared are you?

If you remember, the last plague on the Egyptians was that the Lord took their firstborn. On that day He also sanctified (set apart for special service) every firstborn of the Israelites as well. This included animals and crops. At some point in time God was going to call all the firstborn into His service. They would have to leave their families and become dedicated to whatever God had in store for them.

Because of circumstances in the past Levi had fallen out of God’s favor loosing it’s future inheritance. When Israel sinned by worshipping the Golden Calf, it was Levi who volunteered to do the dirty work of cleaning the mess. Because they were the only volunteers God decided to take them instead of the firstborn. I’ve been to a few men’s conferences where the speaker has asked the firstborns to stand and it is always amazing to see how many, it is overwhelming.

Today the church has no tabernacle or temple. We have no special cups or plates to carry or wash and keep clean. That’s because the temple God stays in now is our own bodies, 1 Corinthians 3:16-17. And, just like the priests of old, we are to maintain these bodies so that the Lord our God can use them to bring in the next person He has planned to save for Himself. Wherever we find ourselves or place ourselves we are completely dedicated to God, to do His will and not our own, because we are His royal priesthood, 1 Peter 2:9.

I wonder how many of you receiving these eThots are firstborn?

Diligence involves focusing on the job the Holy Spirit has given us and getting it done.

Números 3:13 (1-51) “Porque mío es todo primogénito;”

¿Qué tan listo o preparado estás?

Si usted recuerda, la última plaga de los Egipcios era que el Señor tomó su primogénito. Ese día también santifico (separo para servicio especial) todo primogénito de los Israelitas. Esto también incluyo animales. En algún momento Dios iba a llamar a todos los primogénitos de Israel en su servicio. Tendrían que dejar sus familias y dedicarse a todo lo que Dios tendría para ellos.

Debido a ciertas circunstancias en el pasado Levi había perdido la gracia de Dios, perdiendo su herencia futura. Cuando Israel pecó adorando al Becerro de Oro, fueron los Levitas que se ofrecieron como voluntarios para hacer el trabajo sucio de limpiar el desorden. Porque eran los únicos voluntarios Dios decidió sepáralos en lugar de los primogénitos. He estado en unos cuantos conferencias de hombres en las que se ha pedido que los primogénitos se pongan de pie y siempre es sorprendente ver cuantos son.

Hoy la iglesia no tiene ningún tabernáculo o templo. No tenemos tazas o platos para llevar o lavar y mantener limpios. Esto es debido a que el templo en mora Dios ahora es nuestro propio cuerpo, 1 Corintios 3:16-17. Y, al igual como los antiguos sacerdotes, hemos de mantener estos cuerpos para que el Señor nuestro Dios puede usar para llevar la próxima persona que ha planificado para salvar para sí mismo. Dondequiera que nos encontremos o nos ponemos estamos dedicados por completo a Dios, para hacer Su voluntad y no la nuestra, porque nosotros somos Su sacerdocio real, 1 Pedro 2:9.

Me pregunto ¿cuántos de ustedes recibiendo estos pensamientos-e son primogénito?

Numbers 2:2 (1-34) “they shall camp around the tent of meeting at a distance.”

Who or what is your focus?

Each tribe was assigned a position to take when they were at camp and when they proceeded to march. In the center of the camp was the Tabernacle. This order of marching would re-enforce the idea of God being the center of their lives. At the same time each tribe had a place or order in the march towards whatever goal or place they were headed, each playing an important part in the security of the Tabernacle.

For a lot of people knowing their place in the family or in society is all they need to give them a sense of meaning and purpose for their lives. Living that way in their own little world ignoring everything and everyone else. The problem is that we make our place in the family or in society the center of our lives. For Israel the picture was as plane as day. The center of their lives was to be God, represented by the Tabernacle.

Whether they were walking or camping, God would always be at the center of their lives. The same is still true for us, whether we believe in God and His program or not. To be able to stand in eternity in fellowship with God (according to His design), He must always be at the center of our lives whether we are in action or at rest.

Orderliness involves using the distractions of life to help you get your priorities straight.

Números 2:2 (1-34) “acamparán alrededor de la tienda de reunión, a cierta distancia.”

¿Qué o quién es su enfoque?

Cada tribu se le asignó una posición a tomar cuando se encontraban en campamento y cuando se procedía a marchar. En el centro del campamento estaba el Tabernáculo. Este orden de marchar, re-aplicar la idea que Dios es el centro de sus vidas. Al mismo tiempo cada tribu tenía un lugar o orden en la marcha hacia la meta o el lugar donde iban, cada uno jugando un papel importante en la seguridad del Tabernáculo.

Para muchas personas conocer su lugar en la familia o en la sociedad, es todo lo que necesitan para darles un sentido y propósito para su vida. Viviendo de ese modo en su pequeño mundo ignorando todo y todos los demás. El problema es que hacemos nuestro lugar en la familia o en la sociedad el centro de nuestra vida. Para Israel el ejemplo era tan claro como el día. El centro de su vida era Dios, representado por el Tabernáculo.

Si ellos estaban caminando o acampados, Dios siempre estaba en el centro de sus vidas. Lo mismo es cierto para nosotros, si creemos en Dios y en su programa o no. Para poder estar en la eternidad en comunión con Dios (según su diseño), debe ser siempre el centro de nuestras vidas si estamos en acción o en reposo.

El orden implica utilizando las distracciones de la vida para ayudarlo a que sus prioridades estén arregladas.
