Deuteronomy 27:2-3 (1-13) “So it shall be on the day when you shall cross the Jordan to the land which the Lord your God gives you, that you shall set up for yourself large stones, and coat them with lime and write on them all the words of this law,”
What is your impact?
This was to be a public display. The public involved would not only be Israel but all those in the area of Mounts Ebal and Gerizim (30 miles north of Jerusalem). Between the base of these two was situated the town of Shechem (15 miles west of the Jordan river). There would be lots of people to witness this part of the treaty ceremony between God and Israel.
The two whited stones would be written with the curses and blessings. And, the altar would have the commands (ten stones for ten commands?). Everyone would know that Israel was committed and that any success or failure would be attributed to compliance with that promise.
Imagine how this would have impacted the people of the area who had already heard about Israel. What about us today? For the most part the world has heard about the church and its people, what impact has it had? What impact around you?
Courage involves taking a stand on the word of God in spite of the opposition.

¿Qué impacto a tu alrededor?
