Psalm 33:11 (1-22) “The counsel of the Lord stands forever, the plans of His heart from generation to generation.”

Where do you go for counsel?

This Psalm is not attributed to David, but I wonder if it wasn’t just a continuation of Psalm 32. In Psalm 32:11 David encourages the “righteous ones” to rejoice because God is in control and not the urges of every man. This call to recognize the goodness of Gods rule, over man, is reiterated and expanded on here in Psalm 33:1-5. I say this because not only is the one who recognizes it blessed but also the nation that recognizes it is equally blessed, 33:12.

God has a plan, not just for individuals, but also for all mankind. The sooner we come to grips with this fact the easier life will become to handle. To help us understand why man is the way he is, instead of looking at each other, we should go to God and ask Him. He is the one who sees and understands every human being He ever made (and He made all of us), 33:13-15.

Physiology books only help statistically to corroborate His words. So, for help, wouldn’t it be better to go to the source? I don’t know about you but it gives me great peace knowing that I’m in God’s plan to deliver my “soul from death”, 33:19.

Joyfulness involves looking past present difficulties to what God might be doing.

Salmo 33:11 (1-22) “El consejo del Señor permanece para siempre, los designios de su corazón de generación en generación.”

¿Adónde vas para obtener un consejo?

Este Salmo no se atribuye a David, pero me pregunto si no fue solo una continuación del Salmo 32. En el Salmo 32:11, David anima a los “justos” a regocijarse porque Dios tiene el control y no los impulsos de cada hombre. Este llamado a reconocer la bondad del control de Dios sobre el hombre se reitera y amplía aquí en el Salmo 33:1-5. Digo esto porque no sólo es bienaventurado el que lo reconoce sino también la nación que lo reconoce es igualmente bienaventurada, 33:12.

Dios tiene un plan, no solo para los individuos, sino también para toda la humanidad. Los mas pronto aceptemos este hecho, más fácil será manejar la vida. Para ayudarnos a entender por qué el hombre es como es, en lugar de mirarnos, debemos ir a Dios y preguntarle. Él es el que ve y entiende a cada ser humano que hizo (y nos hizo a todos), 33:13-15.

Los libros de fisiología solo ayudan estadísticamente a corroborar Sus palabras. Entonces, para obtener ayuda, ¿no sería mejor ir a la fuente? No se ustedes pero a mi me da mucha paz saber que estoy en el plan de Dios para librar mi “alma de la muerte”, 33:19.

Gozo involucra mirando mas allá de las dificultades a lo que Dios puede estar haciendo.

Psalm 32:9 (1-11) “Do not be as the horse or as the mule which have no understanding,”

What are you?

I’m sure you’ve heard those who argue that we shouldn’t have so many rules governing our behavior. They tell us that our urges are natural and to restrict them is not healthy. They argue that we are not any different from the rest of the animals on this planet, a thought that Solomon agreed with, Ecclesiastes 3:18-22.

It all sounds good in the moment until you start to think it through. We are not animals. Yes, we are physical beings and like animals are subject to the same physical laws of the planet, but we are not animals. A long time ago, fellow humans wrote down the facts of our creation, because they knew we would forget. In Genesis 2:26-27 we are told four times that man was created in the image of God. We are more like God than like animals. Animals weren’t created in the image of God only men and women, humans. The humanity we sometimes express is really of God; it is part of the character of God.

Wanting to be like an animal is only so you can indulge your baser desires to reject the facts of your accountability to God. David said he felt terrible when he sinned because he knew it was an offense to God and to the humanity in him, 32:3-4. When he turned back to God and his humanity he felt better again, he felt human (32:1-2).

Wisdom involves detecting your unnatural inclination to be what you were not designed to be.

Salmo 32:9 (1-11) “No seas como el caballo o como el mulo, que no tienen entendimiento;”

¿Qué eres?

Estoy seguro que has escuchado a quienes argumentan que no deberíamos tener tantas reglas que rijan nuestro comportamiento. Nos dicen que nuestros impulsos son naturales y que restringirlos no es saludable. Argumentan que no somos diferentes del resto de los animales en este planeta, un pensamiento con el que Salomón estuvo de acuerdo, Eclesiastés 3:18-22.

Todo suena bien en el momento hasta que empiezas a pensarlo bien. No somos animales. Sí, somos seres físicos y como los animales estamos sujetos a las mismas leyes físicas del planeta, pero no somos animales. Hace mucho tiempo, otros seres humanos escribieron los hechos de nuestra creación, porque sabían que los olvidaríamos. En Génesis 2:26-27 se nos dice cuatro veces que el hombre fue creado a imagen de Dios. Somos más como Dios que como animales. Los animales no fueron creados a imagen de Dios, solo hombres y mujeres, humanos. La humanidad que a veces expresamos es realmente de Dios; es parte del carácter de Dios.

Querer ser como un animal es solo para que pueda complacer sus deseos más bajos para rechazar los hechos de su responsabilidad ante Dios. David dijo que se sintió terrible cuando pecó porque sabía que era una ofensa a Dios ya la humanidad en él, 32:3-4. Cuando volvió a Dios ya su humanidad se sintió mejor otra vez, se sintió humano (32:1-2).

Sabiduría involucra descubriendo tu inclinación antinatural a ser aquello para lo que no fuiste diseñado.

Psalm 32:8 (1-11) “I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.”

How are you getting or giving counsel?

As I read this verse, I was reminded of the theme verse of our churches school, Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old he will not depart from it.”

Now obviously the passage in this psalm is David now talking to his student and the Proverb passage is the teacher talking to the parents. And we all accept that the phrase, “way he should go” refers to the expressed will of God. But I noticed that the Psalmist adds this, “I will counsel you with my eye upon you.”

To counsel is to give direction. Like when you’re in the car with someone and you’re giving directions like, turn here, at the light go right, etc. But notice that he says “with my eye upon you.” And that made me think. You can’t direct, teach, or train anyone that you’re not watching. For parents the question is how closely are you watching your kids? For husbands the question is how closely are you watching your wives? And for church leaders how closely are you watching or mentoring your sheep?

Hospitality involves discovering ways to help especially fellow believers with their physical and spiritual growth.

Salmo 32:8 (1-11) “Yo te haré saber y te enseñaré el camino en que debes andar;
te aconsejaré con mis ojos puestos en ti.”

¿Cómo estás recibiendo o dando consejos?

Mientras leía este versículo, recordé el tema principal de la escuela de nuestra iglesia, Proverbios 22:6: “Enseña al niño el camino en que debe andar, y aun cuando sea viejo no se apartará de él”.

Ahora, obviamente, el pasaje en este salmo es David ahora hablando con su alumno y el pasaje de Proverbios es el maestro hablando con los padres. Y todos aceptamos que la frase “el camino en que debe andar, y aun cuando sea viejo no se apartará de él” se refiere a la voluntad expresa de Dios. Pero noté que el salmista agrega esto: “te aconsejaré con mis ojos puestos en ti.”

Aconsejar es dar dirección. Como cuando estás en el auto con alguien y estás dando instrucciones como, dobla aquí, en el semáforo ve a la derecha, etc. Pero nota que él dice “con mis ojos puestos en ti”. Y eso me hizo pensar. No puedes dirigir, enseñar o entrenar a nadie que no estés observando. Para los padres, la pregunta es ¿cuán de cerca están vigilando a sus hijos? Para los esposos, la pregunta es ¿cuán de cerca están vigilando a sus esposas? Y para los líderes de la iglesia, ¿qué tan de cerca estás observando o asesorando a tus ovejas?

Hospitalidad implica descubrir formas de ayudar especialmente a los hermanos en la fe en su crecimiento físico y espiritual.

Psalm 31:23 (1-24) “O love the Lord, all you His godly ones! The Lord preserves the faithful and fully recompenses the proud doer.”

What are your expectations?

What a great statement of encouragement! God rewards the proud doer! Not just any doer, but the PROUD DOER.

In this Psalm David again finds himself in the middle of troubles in the kingdom. We usually think of the life of a king as wonderful because he can do what He wants. But a good king who wants to be fair and right has a harder time of it.

The job of a king is not that simple. It is a lot like being a parent with lots of kids. Everyone is looking for your attention and fighting each other to get more then the others. So there are always disputes to resolve. And, besides managing them you have to learn to manage your own expectations. So there will be those times when as you’re trying to do your best no one is happy with you.

No one has said that the life of those committed to Christ (the godly) would be easy. There will be unreasonable expectations of us from those who are close to us as well as others. But like a good king we know that we’re not here to serve others, we’re here to serve our Lord. As long as we meet with His expectations we’ll do just fine.

Endurance involves staying focused on our God given objectives in spite of all the distractions Satan will throw our way.

Salmo 31:23 (1-24) “¡Amad al Señor, todos sus santos! El Señor preserva a los fieles,
y retribuye plenamente a los que obran con soberbia.”

¿Cuales son tus expectativas?

¡Qué gran declaración de aliento! ¡Dios recompensa al hacedor orgulloso! No cualquier hacedor, sino el ORGULLOSO HACEDOR.

En este Salmo, David nuevamente se encuentra en medio de problemas en el reino. Solemos pensar que la vida de un rey es maravillosa porque puede hacer lo que quiere. Pero un buen rey que quiere ser justo y correcto lo tiene más difícil.

El trabajo de un rey no es tan simple. Es muy parecido a ser padre con muchos niños. Todos buscan tu atención y luchan entre sí para obtener más que los demás. Así que siempre hay disputas que resolver. Y, además de manejarlas, tienes que aprender a manejar tus propias expectativas. Así que habrá momentos en los que, mientras intentas dar lo mejor de ti, nadie está contento contigo.

Nadie ha dicho que la vida de los comprometidos con Cristo (los piadosos) sería fácil. Habrá expectativas irrazonables de nosotros por parte de aquellos que están cerca de nosotros, así como de otros. Pero como buen rey sabemos que no estamos aquí para servir a los demás, estamos aquí para servir a nuestro Señor. Mientras cumplamos con Sus expectativas, lo haremos bien.

Perdurar involucra manteniendo mi enfoque en las metas que Dios me ha dado no obstante las distracciones que Satanás va usar.

Psalm 30:5 (1-12) “For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for a lifetime;”

What do you think you’re doing?

I hope that you’ve noticed how much the Psalms talk about maintaining the right perspective on life. I wonder if in 30:9 David is asking God to maintain some perspective, too!

Some scholars believe that this Psalm was written for the dedication of the Temple grounds in 1 Chronicles 21:26 & 22:1, but that in it he recalls the terrible mistake he made when he took an ill advised census of the people to measure his strength (1 Samuel 24 & 1 Chronicles 24). In that moment David lost perspective, 30:6.

It is a mistake we all make when we try to figure out what we can do for God (or have already done) in our own strength. We have to remember that the victories we’ve had in ministry and our own personal growth, come from God and that the size of them is limited by the amount of faith we had in God in that moment.

God will give us direction through our resources (the Bible, a spouse, a mentor, a pastor), but if you’ve looked at your resources and still don’t know if God wants you to proceed with your plans, God is guiding you to re-evaluate your purpose and your solution. (If you’ve looked at all your resources then you need to wait or you’re not listening to what He’s already said.)

Faith involves investing my resources (money & experience) and myself (time) in things that will matter for eternity.

Salmo 30:5 (1-12) “Porque su ira es solo por un momento, pero su favor es por toda una vida;”

¿Qué crees que estás haciendo?

Espero que hayas notado cuánto hablan los Salmos acerca de mantener la perspectiva correcta de la vida. ¡Me pregunto si en 30:9 David le está pidiendo a Dios que también mantenga cierta perspectiva!

Algunos eruditos creen que este Salmo fue escrito para la dedicación de los terrenos del Templo en 1 Crónicas 21:26 y 22:1, pero que en él recuerda el terrible error que cometió cuando tomó un censo desacertado del pueblo para medir su fuerza (1 Samuel 24 y 1 Crónicas 24). En ese momento David perdió la perspectiva, 30:6.

Es un error que todos cometemos cuando tratamos de determinar lo que podemos hacer por Dios (o lo que ya hemos hecho) con nuestras propias fuerzas. Tenemos que recordar que las victorias que hemos tenido en el ministerio y nuestro propio crecimiento personal vienen de Dios y que el tamaño de las mismas está limitado por la cantidad de fe que tuvimos en Dios en ese momento.

Dios nos dará dirección a través de nuestros recursos (la Biblia, un cónyuge, un mentor, un pastor), pero si ha mirado sus recursos y aún no sabe si Dios quiere que siga adelante con sus planes, Dios lo está guiando. reevaluar su propósito y su solución. (Si ha mirado todos sus recursos, entonces necesitas esperar o no estás escuchando lo que Él ya dijo).

Fe implica invertir mis recursos (dinero y experiencia) y yo mismo (tiempo) en las cosas que importan para la eternidad.

Psalm 29:9 (3-11) “And in His temple everything says, Glory!”

What is God saying to you?

David recognizes God in nature, not a god or a number of gods, but the one and only God of all creation. He recognizes something that we all know and understand but ignore when it comes to the subject of God. Everything we do, the things we create and destroy, indirectly says something about us.

The car we drive, the house we live in the clothes we wear all tell us something about what you think of yourself and others and even your philosophy of life. Why would it be any different for God? This is especially true when we realize that God is purposely trying to get our attention through nature. The message He is trying to send is not look at Me or how powerful I Am.

What God is trying to do is get us to understand that the world is on a scheduled end (29:10-11) and if we want to be on the good side of that end we need to listen to what He is saying through the only communication to mankind that explains what nature is all about, the Bible. When we can understand what God is trying to do and how He is trying to do it without offending our right to choose you have to admit that it is all saying how amazing our God is.

Humility involves redirecting the credit for my successes to the God and His agents who produced them.

Salmo 29:9 (3-11) “y en su templo todo dice: ¡Gloria!”

¿Qué te está diciendo Dios?

David reconoce a Dios en la naturaleza, no un dios o varios dioses, sino el único Dios de toda la creación. Él reconoce algo que todos sabemos y entendemos pero ignoramos cuando se trata del tema de Dios. Todo lo que hacemos, las cosas que creamos y destruimos, indirectamente dice algo sobre nosotros.

El coche que conducimos, la casa en la que vivimos, la ropa que vestimos, todos nos dicen algo sobre lo que piensas de ti mismo y de los demás e incluso de tu filosofía de vida. ¿Por qué sería diferente para Dios? Esto es especialmente cierto cuando nos damos cuenta de que Dios está tratando deliberadamente de llamar nuestra atención a través de la naturaleza. El mensaje que Él está tratando de enviar no es mirarme o cuán poderoso soy.

Lo que Dios está tratando de hacer es que entendamos que el mundo está en un final programado (29:10-11) y si queremos estar en el lado bueno de ese final, debemos escuchar lo que Él está diciendo a través del única comunicación a la humanidad que explica de qué se trata la naturaleza, la Biblia. Cuando podemos entender lo que Dios está tratando de hacer y cómo lo está tratando de hacer sin ofender nuestro derecho a elegir, tienes que admitir que todo está diciendo cuán maravilloso es nuestro Dios.

Humildad implica reorientar el crédito de mis éxitos al Dios y sus agentes que lo hicieron posible.

Psalm 29:2b (1-2) “Worship the Lord in holy array.”

How do you present yourself before your Father?

Although it can be argued that “in holy array” refers to the spectacle of God’s presence as David watched a storm passing through the land of the Canaanites, it can also be argued that it refers to my presence.

Now, the reference to the “sons of the mighty” probably refers to the angels, so they are to be dressed in a certain or special way when in the presence of the Lord, Jehovah. What I’m arguing here is that God is not just anybody and although He permits us to approach Him as we are, it’s not His purpose to leave us this way.

Our Lord wants us to become more than what we were, He wants us to be godly. That means He wants us to become men and women of proven character, Romans 5:3-5. That change should be demonstrated in the way we behave, the way we speak and the way we dress. When a prostitute becomes a believer it is expected that she will stop dressing like one.

Virtue involves allowing the Holy Spirit to remake us in the character of Christ.

Salmo 29:2b (1-2) “adorad al Señor en la majestad de la santidad.”

¿Cómo te presentas ante tu Padre?

Aunque se puede argumentar que “de la santidad” se refiere al espectáculo de la presencia de Dios mientras David observaba una tormenta que atravesaba la tierra de los cananeos, también se puede argumentar que se refiere a mi presencia.

Ahora, la referencia a los “oh hijos de los poderosos” probablemente se refiere a los ángeles, por lo que deben vestirse de una manera determinada o especial cuando estén en la presencia del Señor, Jehová. Lo que estoy argumentando aquí es que Dios no es cualquiera y aunque Él permite que nos acerquemos a Él tal como somos, no es Su propósito dejarnos así.

Nuestro Señor quiere que seamos más de lo que éramos, quiere que seamos piadosos. Eso significa que Él quiere que seamos hombres y mujeres de carácter probado, Romanos 5:3-5. Ese cambio debe demostrarse en la forma en que nos comportamos, en la forma en que hablamos y en la forma en que nos vestimos. Cuando una prostituta se convierte en creyente, se espera que deje de vestirse como tal.

Virtud implica permitiendo al Espíritu Santo rehacernos en el carácter de Cristo.

Psalm 28:1 (1-9) “To You, O Lord, I call; My rock, do not be deaf to me, For if You are silent to me, I will become like those who go down to the pit.”

Who would you trust?

As I was reading this passage it made me think of our situation in the U.S. We have lived in a country that has been blessed by God because of its Christian heritage. Many of the political leaders of that day were pastors and Bible students. But as of late this country has quickly moved away from those roots. We are shamefully falling to the danger of being dragged “away with the wicked” of the rest of the world, 28:3.

Although, David here is talking about himself, we can see the basic principal working. We all live in a wicked world and find ourselves constantly in danger of being dragged “away with the wicked”. Our assurance is that God will not abandon us, but I think that there is a thing God wants from us to fulfill that assurance. And, that is that God wants us not to be wicked.

In society, today, the wicked don’t care for the social good of mankind, let alone their spiritual good. Their only concern is for themselves, 28:3. In stark contrast we are to be in the forefront of caring not only for the social needs but the spiritual needs of our fellow humans regardless of their status before the Lord. Think about it, who would make for the better politician, doctor, lawyer and educator the wicked, who trust in themselves or those whose trust is in God?

Love involves seeing the basic need of another and meet it, as I would want another to meet mine.

Salmo 28:1 (1-9) “A ti clamo, oh Señor; roca mía, no seas sordo para conmigo, no sea que si guardas silencio hacia mí, venga a ser semejante a los que descienden a la fosa.”

¿En quién confiarías?

Mientras leía este pasaje, me hizo pensar en nuestra situación en los EE. UU. Hemos vivido en un país que ha sido bendecido por Dios debido a su herencia cristiana. Muchos de los líderes políticos de esa época eran pastores y estudiantes de la Biblia. Pero últimamente este país se ha alejado rápidamente de esas raíces. Vergonzosamente estamos cayendo en el peligro de ser arrastrados “con los impíos” del resto del mundo, 28:3.

Aunque, David aquí está hablando de sí mismo, podemos ver el principal básico trabajando. Todos vivimos en un mundo malvado y nos encontramos constantemente en peligro de ser arrastrados “con los impíos”. Nuestra seguridad es que Dios no nos abandonará, pero creo que hay algo que Dios quiere de nosotros para cumplir esa seguridad. Y es que Dios quiere que no seamos impíos.

En la sociedad actual, a los malvados no les importa el bien social de la humanidad, y mucho menos su bien espiritual. Su única preocupación es por ellos mismos, 28:3. En marcado contraste, debemos estar a la vanguardia del cuidado no solo de las necesidades sociales, sino también de las necesidades espirituales de nuestros semejantes, independientemente de su estado ante el Señor. Piénsenlo, ¿quién seria el mejor al político, médico, abogado y educador los malvados, que confían en sí mismos o los que confían en Dios?

El amor es dando a las necesidades básicas de otras sin tener motivo de recompensa personal.

Psalm 27:1 (1-14) “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?”

What do you fear?

The purpose of the light David is talking about is first to dispel fear, 27:1-6. The second purpose of the light is to reveal the character of God (gracious), 27:7-10; and finally to reveal the will of God, 27:11-14. This Psalm is not a prayer or a plea; it’s a praise song. It is sung so that others may have confidence in the God of David by learning the lessons he had learned. David had learned that in whatever situation he found himself he had to follow this procedure carefully.

The first step is to get a grip (as the saying goes). We tend to panic and act without thinking. We need to stop and gain perspective. Nothing happens to believers without God knowing and using it. So I shouldn’t let my emotions run away with me, 27:1-6.

The next step is to go to God and discover that through this event God will reveal something about Himself to me that I may never have seen before. This revelation will help me understand myself better, 27:7-10.

The final step is to find the will of God for our lives. As we focus on understanding Him, He will reveal His will for us in any and every situation. This doesn’t mean that what He will expect of us will be easy, but it will be the right thing to do and will ultimately give us the greatest peace and joy, 27:11-14. At first these steps will be very hard to take, but as you begin to see their benefit you’ll get used to them.

Obedience involves acting on the light that God has shown you.

Salmo 27:1 (1-14) “El Señor es mi luz y mi salvación; ¿a quién temeré?”

¿Qué temes?

El propósito de la luz de la que habla David es primero disipar el temor, 27:1-6. El segundo propósito de la luz es revelar el carácter de Dios (misericordioso), 27:7-10; y finalmente revelar la voluntad de Dios, 27:11-14. Este Salmo no es una oración o una súplica; es una canción de alabanza. Se canta para que otros puedan tener confianza en el Dios de David aprendiendo las lecciones que él había aprendido. David había aprendido que en cualquier situación en la que se encontrara, tenía que seguir este procedimiento cuidadosamente.

El primer paso es controlarse (como dice el refrán). Tendemos a entrar en pánico y actuar sin pensar. Tenemos que parar y ganar perspectiva. Nada les sucede a los creyentes sin que Dios lo sepa y lo use. Así que no debo dejar que mis emociones me atrapen, 27:1-6.

El próximo paso es ir a Dios y descubrir que a través de este evento Dios me revelará algo acerca de Sí mismo que nunca antes había visto. Esta revelación me ayudará a comprenderme mejor, 27:7-10.

El paso final es encontrar la voluntad de Dios para nuestras vidas. A medida que nos enfocamos en entenderlo, Él revelará Su voluntad para nosotros en cualquier situación. Esto no significa que lo que Él esperará de nosotros será fácil, pero será lo correcto y finalmente nos dará la mayor paz y gozo, 27:11-14. Al principio, estos pasos serán muy difíciles de seguir, pero a medida que comience a ver sus beneficios, se acostumbrará a ellos.

Obediencia involucra actuando en la luz que Dios me ha ensenado.

Psalm 26:8 (1-12) “O Lord, I love the habitation of Your house and the place where Your glory dwells.”

What are you waiting for?

In this Psalm David claims to be innocent, among other things, of charges of taking bribes, 26:9-10. In his defense he draws a contrast between those who were and those who weren’t innocent. They, the deceitful, hang out with each other including the evildoer and the wicked, 26:4-5. In contrast the innocent hangout with God and all the other innocents at the altar of God, 26:6. This doesn’t mean he never sinned, it means it was not a life-style.

The question David brings up for all of us, is where do we hangout; that is who or what is the company you keep? Part of what kept David out of trouble was whom he kept company with and where. This doesn’t mean that if you, as parents, keep your kids in church with church kids only that they will never get into trouble. What it does mean is that they will get into less trouble, a lot less.

But just going to church is not enough. What happens at church is important. See, David learned things about God he didn’t know, 26:7. Things about how He works and why, which caused him to be thankful and give testimony of how God had worked in his life, 26:7. So, the real question is what are you doing to make church an effective and powerful tool for you and your children?

Initiative involves becoming responsible to meet the needs of those around us.

Salmo 26:8 (1-12) “Oh Señor, yo amo la habitación de tu casa, y el lugar donde habita tu gloria.”

¿Que estas esperando?

En este Salmo David afirma ser inocente, entre otras cosas, de los cargos de aceptar sobornos, 26:9-10. En su defensa establece un contraste entre los que fueron y los que no fueron inocentes. Ellos, los engañosos, se juntan entre sí, incluso el malhechor y el impío, 26:4-5. En contraste, los inocentes se reúnen con Dios y todos los demás inocentes en el altar de Dios, 26:6. Esto no significa que nunca pecó, significa que no era un estilo de vida.

La pregunta que David plantea para todos nosotros es dónde pasamos el tiempo; que es quien o cual es la compañía que mantienes? Parte de lo que evitó que David se metiera en problemas era con quién pasaba el tiempo y dónde. Esto no significa que si ustedes, como padres, mantienen a sus hijos en la iglesia solo con los niños de la iglesia, nunca se meterán en problemas. Lo que sí significa es que se meterán en menos problemas, muchos menos.

Pero ir a la iglesia no es suficiente. Lo que sucede en la iglesia es importante. Mira, David aprendió cosas acerca de Dios que él no sabía, 26:7. Cosas sobre cómo obra Él y por qué, que lo llevaron a estar agradecido y dar testimonio de cómo Dios había obrado en su vida, 26:7. Entonces, la verdadera pregunta es ¿qué estás haciendo para que la iglesia sea una herramienta eficaz y poderosa para ti y tus hijos?

Iniciativa involucra tomando la responsabilidad de cumplir las necesidades de los que están a nuestro alrededor.
