Jeremiah 8:8 (4-22) “How can you say, We are wise, and the law of the Lord is with us? But behold, the lying pen of the scribes has made it into a lie.”
Who do you listen to?
Jeremiah observes that animals follow a natural migration pattern in their world, 8:7. If they go to the south they will find their way back and if the go to the east they will again find their way back. No matter what happens in the course of their travels they will go out and find their way back. But man has gone out and can’t seem to find his way back, looking like he doesn’t want to come back, 8:5.
Perhaps its not totally mans fault.
I was reading in an issue of World magazine that there is a man who has made it his mission to make unsubstantiated accusations at Christians in the military. Saying that it is unconstitutional for them to be organized. Mr. Weinstein has no proof that he can take to court and a number of his cases have been thrown out, but that is not stopping him from making noise in the mainstream media. He used to be a very high official in the Reagan administration. With that influence some people are listening. Fake news is not new. I suggest listen carefully what everyone is saying and make your own decision based on truth not hearsay.
The scribes of Jeremiah’s day were doing the same thing, using their influence because of their position to spit out lies about what God has said and give the people reason to ignore the truth. I guess you can say that people tend to believe what they want to. In Israel they refused to believe that they were about to be taken captive by Babylon. Today too many refuse to believe that the Lord is soon returning and there will be no excuse when He comes.
Decisiveness involves learning how to make decisions based on an understanding of God’s ways and God’s will.

¿A quien escuchas?
